Awards

Adjudication Placement Awards

Every participant will be awarded with an OnStage custom designed pin recognizing their achievement of Bronze, Silver, High Silver, Gold, High Gold, Platinum or Diamond score.

1st, 2nd & 3rd Placement Awards

Routines that place 1st, 2nd and 3rd within a category will receive an OnStage custom designed pin dangler. As well, Group Routines will be presented with a Future Shop gift card, to be presented to the Studio Director.

PERFORMance Awards

These awards are given at every awards ceremony. Performance Awards are presented for exceptional qualities in participants, choreography & costuming and are not based on the judges’ marks.

Judges’ Choice Awards

A Judges’ Choice Award will be presented to an outstanding performance of their choice at every award session.

Choreography Awards

A Choreography Award will be presented to the routine showcasing outstanding choreography in the Novice & Competitive Level I classifications. In the Competitive Level II classification Choreography Awards will be presented in the following Age Divisoins: Mini, Junior, Intermediate & Senior. These Cash Awards are presented to the Choreographer of the routine.

Note: 

  1. There must be a minimum of ten routines entered in each classification and/or age division for the trophy and scholarship to be awarded.

Overall Awards

Novice Division

1st, 2nd and 3rd place Highest Mark Overall Trophies & Cash Scholarships will be awarded in the Mini, Junior, Intermediate and Senior age divisions.

Note: 

  1. There must be a minimum of five routines entered in each age division/entry division for the trophy and scholarship to be awarded.
  2. In the event that the same Soloist or Duet/Trio participants place more than once for an Overall Award, only their top score will be used. A Soloist is defined as a participant with more than one solo.
  3. All ties will be broken by the judging panel.

Competitive Level I

1st, 2nd and 3rd place Highest Mark Overall Trophies & Cash Scholarships will be awarded in the Mini, Junior, Intermediate and Senior age divisions. When there is a significant amount of Comnpetitive Level I entries received at an event the Overall Awards for Competitive Level I will be broken down further in the following entry divisions: Soloist, Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group, Large Group/Line.

Note: 

  1. There must be a minimum of five routines entered in each age division/entry division for the trophy and scholarship to be awarded.
  2. In the event that the same Soloist, Duet/Trio or Group participants place more than once for an Overall Award, only their top score will be used. A Soloist is defined as a participant with more than one solo.
  3. All ties will be broken by the judging panel.
  4. All entries are reviewed prior to each event. When there is a significant amount of Competitive Level I entries received for an event the Overall Awards will be broken down further into the following entry divisions: Soloist, Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group & Large Group/Line..

Competitive Level II

1st, 2nd and 3rd place Highest Mark Overall Trophies & Cash Scholarships will be awarded in the Mini, Junior, Intermediate and Senior age divisions, in the following entry divisions: Soloist, Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group, Large Group/Line.

Top Mark Discipline

The highest mark in each of our dance disciplines will receive a fabulous OnStage custom trophy. The recipients are selected from all divisions: Solo, Duet/Trio, Small Group, Large Group and Line. Top Mark Discipline Trophies will be awarded in the Competitive I and Competitive II classifications.

Note: There must be a minimum of 5 routines entered in the dance discipline for the trophy to be awarded.

Top Studio Award

The studio that achieves the highest average, of all of their marks combined, will receive our Top Studio Trophy and cash scholarship.

Note:

  1. There must be a minimum of 5 qualifying* studios for 1st place to be awarded. For 2nd and 3rd place there must be a minimum of 10 qualifying* studios entered.

    *In order to qualify for the Top Studio Award, there must be a minimum of 5 group routines entered by the studio.

  2. In the event of a tie, both studios will receive a trophy and the cash scholarship will be split.

Top Mark Production

The production receiving the highest mark will be awarded with our Top Mark Production Trophy and a cash scholarship. All production routines, from all classifications, are eligible for the Top Mark Production Award.

Note:

  1. There must be two or more productions entered in the competition for the trophy/scholarship to be awarded.
  2. All ties will be broken by the judging panel.

Top Mark Pro/AM

The Pro/Am entry receiving the highest mark will be awarded with our Top Mark Pro/Am Trophy and a cash scholarship.

Note:

  1. There must be five or more Pro/Am routines entered in the competition for the trophy/scholarship to be awarded.
  2. All ties will be broken by the judging panel.

Top Mark adult/parent

The Adult/Parent entry receiving the highest mark will be awarded with our Top Mark Adult/ParentTrophy and a cash scholarship.

Note:

  1. There must be five or more Adult/Parent routines entered in the competition for the trophy/scholarship to be awarded.
  2. All ties will be broken by the judging panel.
